Dave has been playing the guitar since he was in college. Over the years, he has written dozens of songs and compositions. In his retirement, he leaned even more into music, improving his guitar skills and creating a band with several colleagues from UC that eventually played several live events. He also wrote more and more, and after his ALS diagnosis decided to get several songs professionally recorded.

Nashville musician Simon Reid transformed Dave’s demos into full tracks that he filled out with instrumentation and vocals, while preserving some of Dave’s original guitar playing in several tracks (and his singing on one). Together, passing notes back and forth via email, we’ve created Dave’s first “EP.”
